BayBioMS Advanced Mass Spectrometry Seminar on 1st of July
Dear Mass Spec Enthusiasts,
Our next BayBioMS – Advanced Mass Spectrometry Seminar will take place next Wednesday, July 1st, at 4:45 pm in the IGZW conference room.
We have once again put together an exciting lineup of speakers:
- Jonas Engler (Institute of Toxicology and Environmental Hygiene, TUM; Institute of Molecular Toxicology and Pharmacology, Helmholtz Munich) will present his PhD work on the copper-binding peptide ARBM-101 in Wilson disease.
- Dr. Steffen Schweizer (Chair of Soil Sciences, TUM) will showcase the application of NanoSIMS in biogeochemistry and terrestrial ecosystems.
Don’t miss the opportunity to learn more about the NanoSIMS capabilities:
The TUM NanoSIMS Laboratory enables high-resolution imaging of secondary ion distributions across regions of ~20–30 µm, with spatial resolution down to 120 nm. By combining precise stable isotope analysis (e.g., ¹³C, ¹⁵N, ⁴⁴Ca) with nanoscale imaging, NanoSIMS provides unique insights into microbial-scale processes. A wide range of organic and mineral samples can be analyzed, provided they are vacuum-stable and have a sufficiently flat surface (<20 µm).

We look forward to seeing you!
